With over a decade of formal and informal teaching experience, Ms. Eliza (as her students call her) has a reputation for her holistic and imaginative approach to music education. Not content to rest on her laurels, she is always thinking of a new way to expand her student's musical perspective. Eliza started her musical training at age 5 in community Kindermusik classes. She went on to study piano and voice, sing with the Des Moines Children's Choir and the Heartland Youth Chorus, and perform at the regional and state level as a young person in choir, solo and ensemble voice, percussion, chamber orchestra, and chamber brass. She graduated with a B.M. in Voice from Iowa State University in 2015 and an M.M. in Opera from The University of North Texas in 2018.
Ms. Eliza instructs beginner to intermediate students of all ages in voice, piano, ukulele, and music creativity. It is her belief that music is a language unique in its ability to be used for expression by all people. She is currently a teacher for DIMA Texas, an innovative music school that partners with elementary and intermediate schools across the DFW Metroplex to provide group classes, semi-private, and private music lessons.
